Rochester Optical announced that it is now offering prescription lenses for Snapchat Spectacles. The company has already launched prescription solutions for Microsoft Hololens, Epson Moverio, Intel Recon Jet, and Google Glass. Patrick Ho, CEO of Rochester Optical commented that they have been working with heads-up displays for a while.
Spectacles are almost the same but just without the heads-up display. He added that they have already done similar projects with Google Glass.
Snapchat's Spectacles feature rounded cut outs in each lens corner, which other optical labs find difficult to accommodate. The company invests in the newest optical equipment such as 5-axis edging machinery. It has also in-house AR coating to offer the most advanced lens products available and digital free-form surfacing equipment. The company also has expert optical craftsmen to solve unique design challenges. They also offer creative optical solutions especially to Prescription Lenses for Snapchat Spectacles.

In addition, photochromic and polarized options charge $200. The spectacles alone without the prescription lenses cost $130.
Snap, the fabricators of Spectacles, has side-stepped selling prescription lenses for Snapchat Spectacles. Further, the company advised the owners to seek advice from optician before making a decision on having prescription lenses installed in the Spectacles.
