Another setback has apparently hit Apple this year. This is after various complaints of Iphone 6 plus users having "Touch Disease" and China's consumer agency complaining of sudden device shutdown. Two nasty bugs are apparently wreaking havoc on the iPhone 6s battery.
According to Business Insider, Apple has actually acknowledged the new issue on the iPhone 6s' battery. If you are experiencing an almost non-existent battery and sudden shutdowns similar to China's iPhone death phenomenon, your battery might be affected by two nasty bugs.
Apple Plays Down The Coverage Of Affected Users To "A Very Small Number"
Apple has claimed that it only affects handsets that were sold from September to October 2015. Unlike its solution to the "touch disease," the company is actually replacing damaged batteries for free. However, your phone must have been bought during the mentioned dates or else you'll have to purchase the battery yourself.
The company has since speculated that the number of affected users is limited to a very small number. In an article by Quartz, Apple has obviously infuriated Chinese users because of its lackadaisical approach to the growing issue. Considering the number of affected users in China, is Apple really realistic when it claims that it only affects a few iPhone 6s owners?
iOS 10.1.1 Unleashes The 30 Percent Battery Bug
Apple's iOS 10.1.1 update back in October has inadvertently unleashed a bug that is draining batteries unnaturally. Many frustrated owners of the iPhone 6s have gone to the company's community forum page to share stories on the apparent issue.
Although Apple has not yet released a comment regarding possible updates on the iPhone 6sbattery, the company has put up a dedicated page for owners affected by the problem. The company has faced several issues this year, the bug problem has just been added to that long list.
