It's more than two months when Angelina Jolie field for divorce from ex-husband Brad Pitt. The ex-couple expects a lengthy and nasty court battle for the custody of their six children. However, that may be the least of their problems. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt might be facing a dilemma far worse than their child custody battle case.
According to a report from Radar Online, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are fighting a different battle aside from their child custody case. In a sudden cruel twist of fate, Angelia Jolie and Brad Pitt could lose both their adopted sons, Pax, and Maddox.
Pax's biological birth mom will soon be released from a prison in Vietnam, Radar Online has learned and the mother wants to reunite with her son. Maddox's parents meanwhile are said to be alive.
An insider said that since the day Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt adopted Pax and Maddox, this is the day that they feared the most.
"I'm sure both Brad and Angie are freaking out over this. It's been a fear from day one that the biological parents of their adopted kids would resurface," the insider said.
Pax, now 13 years old and Maddox, 15, were adopted by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt under different circumstances. Pax was only three years old when he was adopted by Angelina Jolie from an orphanage in Vietnam back in 2007. Pax's biological mom, Pham Thu Dung, left her son at the orphanage when she was sent to prison. Now reports have surfaced that Pax's mom will soon be released from prison and according to a volunteer at the orphanage she wants her son back.
Meanwhile, Maoddox's situation is bit more complicated. Maddox adoption was brokered by a crooked agent. The agent, Lauryn Galindo, was later jailed in the US for visa fraud and money laundering involving more than 800 adoptions. Lauryn Galindo was said to have arranged adoptions of orphans whose families are still alive.
Angelina Jolie was led to believe by Lauryn Galindo that Maddox's biological parents are dead. But now reports have surfaced that may not be true. If Pax's biological mom comes forward, that may also lead to Maddox's biological parents, if they are indeed alive, to come forward as well. The situation with Maddox won't look good on Angelina Jolie's status in the UN.
An insider also said that both Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have no real idea regarding the background of Pax and Maddox before they adopted the two kids.
"All they know about Pax is that he came to the orphanage at 2 days old after his mother, Pham, ran away from the hospital. With Maddox, they had to rely on Galindo's word."
