"Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" have already been released for a while, and a lot of fans are still enjoying the games. Most players probably played it in order to finish the main storyline. However, other gamers are making their Pokémon stronger in order to make it more capable in the competitive scene, and EV training is one of the methods in doing that.
In the competitive arena of "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon," Effort Values (EV) plays a big role in make the creatures tougher. EVs are used in order to make the specific stat of a Pokémon higher. According to reports, there are six types of stats and they consist of HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed. Moreover, these points can only be earned by battling other Pokémon.
Based on reports, each stat will be raised by defeating a specific Pokémon. For instance, if a player wants to raise the Speed of a Pokémon, the trainer must defeat a Zubar in order to gain one Speed EV point. Meanwhile, there are other type of creatures in "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" that can raise up to two or three EV points, but they are usually stronger.
Furthermore, four EV points can result to one point of stat increase. For example, a trainer wants to increase the defense of Rowlett by four points, the gamer would need to earn 16 Defense EV points for the Pokémon. This indicates that the player should defeat 16 Geodudes in order to increase defense stat of the Pokémon by four points. However, there is a limit to earning EV points in "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon," and it is only up to a total of 510 EVs.
There are methods that are recommended in earning EV points fast in "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon." The EV training can be done by doing S.O.S. battles, and this is where a wild Pokémon simultaneously summon on another ally whenever its HP is low. If a trainer wants to specifically raise the Special Attack of the Pokémon, facing Magnemite would be a good choice which can be found in Route 1 Trainer School. Then the player should use Adrenaline Orb so the opposing Pokémon would continually call for more allies.
With that type of method for EV training, the trainer's Pokémon will be stronger in no time. "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" is now available and it can only be played on Nintendo 3DS.
