Clues and speculations are floating around the internet for the upcoming season 6 of “Scandal”. In the previous season, you saw a lot of twists, when the presidential candidate gets ready to announce their running mate, Olivia (Kerry Washington) found herself in a potentially dire situation.
Also, while Cyrus (Jeff Perry) is presented with damaging information that could alter the presidential race entirely. Shonda Rhimes’s team is giving everything they can to make the upcoming season even more thrilling.
According to Deadline, the tagline of new “Scandal” is “The balance of power is about to shift”. It is still unknown who wins the election but, speculations are Mellie (Bellamy Young) will win. She is the first female Republican nominee by a former assassin and NSA Director Fake Ballard (Scott Foley). Since the show was cut from 22 to 16 episodes, things will happen a lot faster and you can expect more drama and more thriller in season 6.
According to TV Guide, Scandal is back with 6 episodes short, but, that doesn’t mean this won’t give you enough drama and thriller to live the rest of the year satisfied. The tagline “The balance of power is about to shift” refers to the show’s presidential election between Mellie/Jake and Vargas (Ricardo Chavira)/Cyrus. The results will be revealed in the premiere. When Mellie told Live she is done running for president, she screamed “I’m not”, and what Papa Pope (Joe Morton) wants is Mellie and Jake into the White House.
According to E News, when the show returns in January you will find out whether Mellie Grand will be the new president or Francisco Vargas and how much power will Olivia Pope have in the Washington D.C. Will she manage to hold on to the country’s most powerful players or not leaves you to find out in January.
“Scandal” season 6 episode 1 will be released on January 19, 2017, on ABC.
