Mirren did not want to get famous, all she wanted to do was a good actress and she also wanted to be recognized as great theater performer0. Mirren met her husband Taylor Hackford at the age of 38, she added he comes pretty late in life, as per The Spec.
After 10 years of being together they realized that it's better to get married, and that they were sure to be together forever. They were married for legal reasons above all else, like business in real estate and more complicated things. Taylor and Mirren were together for almost 20 years now.
