According to reports, Jonathan, Nancy, and Steve's plot have a unique 80s and 90s feel. The trio's story will be explored more and fans will be divided on who they wanted to be with Mike's older sister.
Yibada reported that Nancy Wheeler, played by Natalie Dyer, will be torn between his boyfriend, Steve Harrington, played by Joe Keery, and to his new friend and practically her life savior, Jonathan Byers, played by Charlie Heaton.
Based on David Harbour's interview, who portrays the role of Chief Hopper, in the first couple of pages of "Stranger Things" Season 2, Jonathan, Nancy, and Steve's complicated love triangle will be "very much alive" - a news that will surely hit the fans.
Ever since spoilers and speculations for "Stranger Things" Season 2 started to circulate the web, fans have been hoping that there will be something about Jonathan and Nancy or Steve and Nancy storyline that will eventually pop up and discuss the chemistry of the trio.
Moreover, fans have also been wondering if Nancy feels something for William's big brother or the girl is just thankful for what Jonathan did for her; saving her from the Demogorgon. And if Mike's sister like Jonathan, what will happen to Steve?
Steve acted like a jerk in the Season 1 finale, but he regained the viewer's heart when he decided to help Nancy and Jonathan in the end.
Jonathan, on the other hand, has always been one of the viewer's favorite character. Aside from bravely looking for the Demogorgon, he shows how he really love his brother and that he really cares for the people around him especially Nancy.
Meanwhile, Millie Bobby Brown, who plays the role of Eleven, has another story arc in mind.
"Anything can happen," said Brown before adding that she is fine with Nancy and Steve but if it's Jonathan and Barb, "that would be incredible."
