FIFA 14 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One graphical output simplified

FIFA 14, the latest addition to the already decorated FIFA series from EA, is expected to be the franchise's biggest game yet. With a host of (subtle) improvements made to the new game and a number of additions like True Player Motion, Human Intelligence and Living Worlds, EA expects the new FIFA to be even more popular.

While we all wait for the game, another fact that strikes quite an important chord is the game’s new relationship with next generation consoles such as Xbox One and PlayStation 4. As of recently, there have been huge speculations about the kind of output we may get to see from FIFA 14’s versions on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. And now , there’s a clarification to all our questions.

Recently, Matt McKie, Director of Global Marketing FIFA, was in an interview with GameEvo where he went on to explain the differences between the current and next gen versions of the upcoming FIFA 14.

"One such change is that we can give players real human intelligence, to make decisions smarter and faster, making the game look more like the real sport. In addition, actual movements made players look more athletic and the animations really mimic what happens in real life when playing.”

McKie added that the team is very proud of what it has accomplished in this regard on Xbox 360 and PS3, “but the next-generation consoles enable us to go one step further. Another novelty is that now the environment is more realistic, the secondary characters have more life stages are more real and commentators will live games, which will make them even more realistic, resulting in one feel more motivated while playing,” as told to GameEvo (translated).

...with the next generation of consoles arriving and in those consoles (PS4 and Xbox One), although the basis of the game is the same, what changes is the power, since the engine will use Ignite, which will bring significant changes."

Additionally, McKie also commented on the list of content that will be exclusive to Xbox One. “Yeah, we announced at Gamescom this morning that will have XBOX One football legends mode ‘Ultimate Team’. We are very happy with this and there will be 42 players in total where you can play with Messi, with Bergkamp, Ljungberg and others, so you can assemble the team you want with your idols of today and yesterday. Anyway there will be more announcements on this subject during the day, with the full list of players, for example,” he added.

FIFA 14 is currently set for a Sept. 24 release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC with versions for next generation consoles launching alongside the consoles themselves.
