"Van Helsing" Season 2 is all braced up for its horrific comeback in 2017 with Kelly Overton returning to play the lead role of Van Helsing. Filming will start in January next year. Hence, it is estimated that season 2 will have its premiere in the later part of the year.
According to Releasedate, "Van Helsing" Season 2 has been ordered for a 13-episode second instalment by the Syfy network. The series is an American drama under a dark fantasy horror genre adapted from a novel series titled "Helsing". It has been released for television and had its premiere showing last September 2016. The series had received a mixed perception and acceptance among viewers.
"Van Helsing" Season 2's story arc revolves on Vanessa Van Helsing (Kelly Overton) who's ancestor can be traced back to Abraham Van Helsing, a legendary line of vampire hunters. After the cataclysmic eruption of a volcano the vampire villains were awakened and they continue to plague the world after the catastrophe.

Similarly, Van who was comatose for three years awakened but she has immunity to the vampires. Playing the characters for "Van Helsing" Season 2 are Axel (Jonathan Scarfe), Sam (Christopher Heyerdahl), John (David Cubitt), Vincent Gale, Doc (Rukiya Bernard), Mohamad (Trezzo Mahoro), Ted (Tim Guinee), among others.
In an interview by Deadline, Neil LaBute, the showrunner expressed that "Van Helsing" Season 2 will not be the last because the show is expected to continue for many years. LaBute thanked Syfy for the support and confidence to the writers, casts and crew of the show.
The last two episodes of the previous season of "Van Helsing" Season 2 will be shown in December 5 for "He's Coming" and 9 for "It Begins", respectively. To the avid followers of the show, it is good to know that the show will definitely come back in 2017, although the date has not been fixed yet.
