Actor Brad Pitt has suddenly backed off in the custody battle of his six children with his estranged wife, Academy Award Winning actress Angelina Jolie. Apparently it has something to do with Brad Pitt not being invited to spend Thanksgiving with the kids. Since he was not invited, Brad Pitt just decided to try a different strategy in winning back his kids. This time, instead of trying to force himself and pushing away the kids, Brad Pitt's giving the kids some space and time.
It's been almost two months since Angelina Jolie, 41, filed for divorce on Sept. 19 of this year. On November 4, Brad Pitt checked off joint custody on his divorce documents to Angelina Jolie. Since Angelina Jolie requested for sole custody of the children, everybody thought that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie would be in a nasty battle for custody of their kids.
Brad Pitt, however is reportedly not pushing for a court hearing just yet. According to a report from US Weekly on Nov. 30, "Brad is giving the kids time. He's focused on whatever is best for their well-being," Brad Pitt is also not planning to file any legal action because, "at this point in time the kids wouldn't want to live with him, and they are of the age when their opinions matter."
The magazine also reported that it's the children who requested for Brad Pitt to not spend Thanksgiving with them. That's the main reason why Brad Pitt's not pushing for a court battle. The six children, Maddox 15, Pax 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10 and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8, spent Thanksgiving away from their father according to reports. The six children were allegedly kept away from Brad Pitt by Angelina Jolie in Los Angeles. Brad Pitt, meanwhile, just spent Thanksgiving at Amanyara in Turks and Caicos. He rented a $34,000 a night private villa along with one of his guy friends.
Brad Pitt is reportedly trying to re-connect with his six children. That's why he's decided to give the children some space. The actor's actions lately seem to indicate that he's afraid the children will choose not to live with him when the time comes. It's a very delicate and sensitive situation and that's why Bard Pitt's being cautious with his actions.
