Excited for the antihero's return to television? Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming "Poldark" Season 3 news, updates, spoilers, release dates and more.
What to expect from 'Poldark' Season 3
As previously reported, "Poldark" Season 3 will be kicking off with a new array of characters, including fresh bloods Josh Whitehouse, Drake and Sam Carne, whose arrival in the series signal brand new consequences for the tumultuous romance of Ross and Demelza Poldark. Josh Whitehouse, in particular, will be playing the aristocrat Hugh Armitage, who is also described as a romantic and is poised to cause complications to Poldark's clan.
Ross Poldark has a child
Fans would also remember Elizabeth, with whom Poldark got entangled with in "Poldark" Season 2. She can be expected to appear again in "Poldark" Season 3 as she is pregnant--with Poldark's child! This would surely cause trouble in the Poldark household, and would force Demelza to seek comfort in the arms of another man--George Warleggan, Poldark's greatest nemesis.
What's being adapted for 'Poldark' Season 3
"Poldark" Season 3 will be based on one and a half books this time, according to a report from Digital Spy. This is because the cast and crew of the popular BBC One television series didn't want to skimp of the storytelling this time. This also means that the upcoming season will be more jampacked with action and drama for its avid viewership.
The first two seasons of "Poldark" each adopted two books each. "Poldark" Season 3, on the other hand, will be drawn from Winston Graham's 1973 novel "The Black Moon," and the 1976 "The Four Swans."
