Nokia plans to return to the smartphone industry in 2017 with the introduction of the Nokia Android Phone. There will be several new devices to launch next year, particularly the D1C.
D1C Nokia Android Phone Arriving in Two Variants
GSM Arena reported that the D1C is a Nokia Android Phone, which will be the first among three previously leaked devices. The D1C may arrive in two variants.
The lower-end version is said to feature a 5-inch 1080p touchscreen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 1.4 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 chipset, an Adreno 505 GPU, 2GB of RAM. It also supposedly has 16GB of internal storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The new Nokia Android Phone is also said to launch with the Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
The second D1C Nokia Android Phone will reportedly have the same specifications, but feature a larger 5.5-inch screen with the same 1080p resolution, a 16-megapixsel rear shooter, and 3GB of RAM. The two Nokia Android Phones are allegedly in the prototype testing stage. Alleged leaked images of the Nokia Android Phone have started to circulate online, although these remain unconfirmed by the phone manufacturer.
More Nokia Smartphones at MWC 2017
NDTV revealed that HMD Global previously acquired the exclusive global license to manufacture Nokia Android Phones and tablets in the next 10 years. The firm confirmed that it will attend the MWC 2017, most likely to unveil its new line of Nokia Android Phones.
Nokia also confirmed that CEO Rajeev Suri will be present and speak at MWC 2017, who will most likely unveil the D1C Nokia Android Phone. Recently, another entry-level Nokia Android Phone was also spotted at the Geekbench benchmark listing. The handset was codenamed Pixel.
A third Nokia Android Phone is said to arrive with a 5.2 or 5.5-inch screen with 2K QHD resolution. It may run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. The primary camera may feature the Zeiss lens and have waterproof traits together with its metal unibody design.
