Official synopsis - "Arrow" Season 5, episode 9
According to the official synopsis, Det. Malone and Felicity find out a clue that connects Prometheus to Oliver's past. Meanwhile, Oliver learns that Prometheus knows the secret identities of all the members of Team Arrow.
In Season 5, episode 8, it is revealed that Evelyn has been working with Prometheus and it is the main reason she was not a part of the crossover installment.
Executive producer Marc Guggenheim talked to Entertainment Weekly about Evelyn. He stated that during the break of episode 8, they discussed Evelyn being present or not.
"It felt like it was the elephant in the room and we didn't want it distracting, so we don't reference it in large part because I'm not a fan of, 'Oh, it's too bad that Evelyn's mom is sick this week.' I would prefer to just whistle past the graveyard. I will say, you will get a payoff to 507's cliffhanger with respect to Evelyn big time in 509," Guggenheim said.
The executive producer added that Evelyn decided to team up with Prometheus during the final moments of episode 6 when she had her last scenes with Oliver.
During the commercial break of episode 6, she made up her mind to work with Prometheus.
Meanwhile, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg talked to Variety about the 100th episode. Kreisberg mentioned that it was special to have former cast members come in for the 100th episode. He added that they were "fortunate enough" that people who left the show were happy to come back and work.
