The iPad Mini 5 will be launched in September alongside the iPhone 7 on Sept. 16 during Apple's press event. Reportedly, the device will be given a new name, the iPad Mini Pro.
iPad Mini 5 launch was in correlation with the fact that the iPad Mini 4 was released on Sept. 9 2015 at the Apple event which released the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, Macworld reported. The iPad Mini 4 is now available on the Apple Refurbished Store, which sales also recently spiked speculations that the much-awaited iPad Mini is going to be released very soon.

The iPad Mini 5 is rumored to come out as thin as 5mm encased in a 7000-series aluminum chassis that may be dust-resistant and water-resistant. The device is going to have a smaller battery as well to go with its thinner design, Cult of Mac reported.
The image quality of the tablet's cameras is expected to remain at 8MP on the back and 1.2MP at the front. The iPad Mini 5 was also rumored to have a 3D touch display feature.
