Sources have said that the "Guardians of The Galaxy 2" will be in theaters after the premiere of "Doctor Strange" and "Captain America: Civil War." The long awaited sequel of "Guardians of the Galaxy" will then be followed by the movies "Spider-man" and "Thor." It is set to be released on May 5, 2017.
Younger fans are troubled though since "Guardians of The Galaxy 2" will most likely be rated PG-13. This is following the news that was confirmed by Disney CEO that they will not be making an R-rated superhero movie in the coming months.
In the upcoming movie, we will be following our heroes Drax, Gamora, Star-Lord and Rocket as they continue with their journey and adventure with a mysterious orb. To answer one of the most common questions for the "Guardians of The Galaxy 2", Groot will be back, albeit a little bit smaller.
One of the themes of the "Guardians of The Galaxy 2" will be about fathers. As Star-Lord continues on his journey to figure out who he is, he finds out that his father is actually Starhawk. Yondu, Mantis and Nebula will be making an appearance and joining their team as new "Guardians of the Galaxy."
Rumors have circulated that other famous characters will be making an appearance in the film. Howard the Duck will most likely appear especially since he made a short appearance in the after credits of the first film. There is also a possibility that Captain America will be making an entrance but news that the Hulk will follow suit has been debunked.
Interviews with the cast and production team have been unproductive, especially with giving out any spoilers or hints. Leaks still find their way to the fans though and they have been nothing short of exciting. The show will not be following real time to indicate the passage of time from the frist film. Instead, the "Guardians of The Galaxy 2" timeline will start two months after 2014.
