Nick Young is being sued for allegedly attacking an opposing player in a church league game.
On August 18, the Los Angeles Lakers guard played in a pickup game at the Shepherd of the Hills church in Porter Ranch, California. What was supposedly a friendly game went violent after Nick Young lost his temper when he believed he got fouled by Luis Solis and the referee missed the call. Swaggy P apparently went so far as to beat Solis down the ground while several of Young's teammates piled on and kicked him while he was down. Solis claims to have suffered several injuries as a result, including a concussion.
Apparently, it's not the first time that Nick Young showed his temper during pickup games. While Solis hasn't filed a police report yet, he is contemplating on taking action against Young. He has already filed a lawsuit for unspecified damages.
Young has stepped up his game this season under coach Luke Walton, so hopefully this issue won't become a distraction for him with the Lakers. Following a rather dismal 2015 - 16 season and a messy breakup with Iggy Azalea, the Lakers Guard is playing his best on defense, with the highest field goal percentage (45.8) of his career and averaging his highest points per game total (14.1) in three seasons.
What's interesting is that the incident happened not long after Nick Young went through a very public breakup with Iggy. There's no comment yet from his camp regarding the issue, as per TMZ.
