Geoff Keighley will host The Game Awards 2016 and stated on Twitter that there are several world premieres that will run for over five minutes and feature full gameplay footage. There will also be pre-rendered cinematic trailers. Keighley also stated that there will be a few surprises and additional details for gamers.
IGN reported that the Game of the Year nominees at The Game Awards 2016 include "Doom," "Titanfall 2," "Overwatch," "Inside" and "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End." Hideo Kojima will receive the Industry Icon Award at The Game Awards 2016.
There will be more Let's Play-style preview showcases than simple pre-made trailers. The Game Awards 2016 will also showcase extended previews for titles like "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," "Prey," "Mass Effect: Andromeda," and "The Walking Dead Season 3 - A New Frontier."
"Borderlands 3" Or "Duke Nukem" Presentation At The Game Awards 2016?
The Bitbag wrote that CEO Randy Pitchford and GearBox Software has a surprise for fans at The Game Awards 2016. Some speculate that it will be a "Borderlands 3" reveal, a new Gearbox Software IP or a huge Battleborn update.
The game developer may be developing a new "Borderlands" game since the pre-sequel last launched in 2014. Gearbox Software is set to take the stage of The Game Awards 2016 to provide more details.
There are also rumors that "Duke Nukem" may be unveiled at The Game Awards. Pitchford teased that they have an announcement to make on December 1.
