"The 100" season 4 finally announced its premiere and this didn't stop fans from speculating further on its plot. The latest discussion revolves around Clarke saving the world. Many fans are also expressing their hope for Clarke to find a new love interest in the person of Ilan.
Will Clarke Save The World?
"The 100" season 4 will reportedly release a new teaser trailer soon, hopefully revealing more of the upcoming season's plot. Showrunner Jason Rothenberg previously hinted that season 4 will deliver intense drama as survivors anticipate another disaster that could potentially wipe out the whole world. The previous report explored Clarke's dilemma in saving the world.
Clarke (Eliza Taylor) will be torn between revealing the impending disaster to the survivors or keep the news to herself. She fears that informing the dwellers of Polis and Arkadia can cause undue alarm among them, eventually causing more harm than good.

Ilan Returns, Steals Clarke's Heart?
Deadline reported that a character will mark his return to "The 100" season 4. Chai Romruen will return and possibly become Clarke's new love interest as discussed by many fans. However, the LGBTQ didn't receive this news warmly.
Ilan is a former Grounder, who worked with ALIE (Erica Cerra) in the previous seasons. It is said that he will be taking center stage in "The 100" season 4. Spoilers say that he will be fighting supernatural beings and will bring the series to a whole new level.
Meanwhile, the LGBTQ community didn't take the speculations too kindly. They have been rooting for Lexa and Clarke ever since however, Rothenberg already confirmed that Lexa won't return in "The 100" season 4. Fans may still see Lexa from flashback memories but other than that, she won't be there for Clarke anymore.
A discussion in The 100 Wikia ensued after learning Lexa won't return to "The 100" season 4. They believe that killing off Alexa was a jab to the LGBTQ community. "The 100" season 4 will air on February 1, 2017.
