With currently 4 seasons available for binge watching, many fans have been clamoring for "House of Cards" Season 5. The over-eager fans will be delighted to know that the next season of "House of Cards" will be featuring a new character, who will mirror the newly elected US President, Donald Trump.
Some reports have stated that "House of Cards" Season 5 will see the Underwoods still trying to save their marriage, despite their political agenda. Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright portray Francis and Claire Underwood in the show. The third episode of the season is set to be directed by Alik Sakharov, with specific details still under wraps.
"House of Cards" Season 5 will also see the addition of two new cast members, Patricia Clarkson and Campbell Scott. However, their exact roles still remain undisclosed. As for Clarkson though, she is expected to play a huge role this season.
"House of Cards" has seen Doug Stamper, played by Michael Kelly, saving one life at the cost of another. He visited man's wife who passed away for Frank to get his liver and ultimately survive the attack. He then made a big donation for what he thinks may be his form of redemption. "House of Cards" Season 5 will also hit it big with Hillary Clinton's character. As Frank runs for the race, he will be facing tough competition in both Clinton and Trump. As opposed to the real life US election results though, rumors suggest that Clinton will eventually win the presidential race.
Another horrible and heartbreaking rumor suggests that Claire desperately wants to win the election, so she will conspire with Stamper to assassinate her husband. This will gain her public sympathy and will give her a bigger chance to win in "House of Cards" Season 5.
However, with Trump's win in real life, this would definitely have repercussions on "House of Cards." Fans just have to wait on the fate of Frank and the rest of the characters. "House of Cards" Season 5 premieres on Netflix on February 24 next year.
