"Teen Wolf" Season 6 is set to feature the conclusion to the story arcs of beloved characters given the MTV show's impending finale. Recently, the series' showrunner teased of Malia Tate's (Shelley Hennig) interesting plot development and her transformation into a wild young woman.
The first half of "Teen Wolf" Season 6 will tackle Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) disappearance given the Ghost Riders' abduction. Apart from Scott (Tyler Posey) and his pack trying to solve the mystery behind the said villains to save their friend, the MTV series will also provide viewers with a look at a different Malia.
It appears that the "Teen Wolf" writing team has prepared an intriguing story line for Hennig's character. Showrunner Jeff Davis shared in an interview with TVLine that they wanted Malia to be one of the characters who will shine in the MTV series' final season.
Described as a funny yet unique teenage girl, avid fans can expect to see a wilder Malia given Stiles' disappearance in "Teen Wolf" Season 6. Davis stated, "We wanted to see Malia as a bit of a player. She's a wild animal, and she has needs of her own. What is she like without Stiles, without that relationship anymore?"
Davis also mentioned Hennig's nude scene as shown in the "Teen Wolf" Season 6 premiere. The MTV show's writing team even debated whether to have Scott turn away from Malia while she transformed from a coyote to a human. However, Davis wanted to depict Malia's confidence with her body and that nudity after a transformation was not an issue within Scott's pack.
In other news, the upcoming "Teen Wolf" Season 6 episode 3 titled "Sundowning" will feature Scott, Malia and Lydia's (Holland Roden) continued search for Stiles. However, the Ghost Riders have set their sights on Gwen (Alisha Boe), one of Scott and his team's friends.
Tasked to protect Gwen, Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) and the rest of Scott's pack will throw a party to keep her safe, according to episode spoilers posted on Spoilers Guide. However, the Ghost Riders will crash the event to capture the said character.
