Steam recently held its very first Steam Awards where gamers and fans have nominated their favorite games in different awards such as "Whoooaaaaaaa, dude!" Award, "We Didn't Think Of Everything" Award and many more. There was also a nomination for "Game That Deserves a Sequel" award where fans showed how eager they are for the "Half Life 3."
According to a report from Game Reactor, the game "Half Life 2" got the most numbers of nominations and votes for the "Game That Deserves a Sequel" award. Fans wanted to show the creators of "Half Life" series that, even though several years have passed since the second sequel, they are still patiently waiting for "Half Life 3." Will this convince Steam and Valve to seriously consider making the game "Half-Life 3"?
A report from Gaming Bolt states that, even though several fans and gamers expressed how they badly want "Half Life 3," Steam and Valve will not start working for the game as of yet. However, it is a good sign that fans showed how they desperately want "Half Life 3." The creators might soon consider making the game.
But, several rumors suggest that Valve is already working on "Half Life 3." The rumor all started when some data miners found out a code at a DOTA2 update that says "HLVR." Fans assumed that the secret code means Half Life Virtual Reality, and that the soon-to-be-made "Half Life 3" might have a Virtual Reality Support.
A VR support for "Half Life 3" is not impossible considering the fast improving gaming technology nowadays. But, because there is still no exact date for its release, "Half Life 3" might also be played on new gaming platforms by the time it will be launched.
