It has been quite a while since the launching of the last version of "Left 4 Dead" and avid fans of the co-op zombie-killing series have been clamoring for the release of the third installment. Rumor mills bring some latest information suggesting that "Left 4 Dead 3" is indeed in development, despite the game developer's silence with regards to the matter.
A screenshot post of Valve artist Tristan Reidford for Destinations Workshop showing a folder named "left4dead3" left many enthusiasts with many speculations. The said post seemed to be suggesting that the third installment in the "Left 4 Dead" franchise is currently underway at Valve Software.
While Valve continues to shut off its doors regarding "Left 4 Dead 3" updates, fans still have their high hopes with regards to the upcoming game. But it is expected to come with new technologies sometime in 2017. It is also said that "Left 4 Dead 3" will feature at least four protagonist characters in its roster. The characters will be as follows: 24-year old Caucasian Katherine, the famous Kenpo fighter Garrett Jr, the comic book nerd Keenan and the black gangster Irvin.
"Left 4 Dead 3" is also believed to feature six campaigns to complete the entire game. The leak suggested that the supposed campaigns for "Left 4 Dead 3" would include Early Destination, No Mercy, Crashland, Impasse, Cliff Hanger and Inquisitor.
According to reports, Valve is not expected to tip off from what is already known from the first two "Left 4 Dead" games. What triggered its momentum the first and second time was its fast-paced and brutal action formula, so straying away may lead to a decrease in reception from its fan base.
