According to a fan, "Wentworth" Season 5 could open backward instead of forward. This means, the instalment may not take off after Bea's likely death in the Season 4 Finale. Instead, it opens with Bea still in prison and still working out a way to escape.
This rewind story will reportedly explain the loopholes in the Season 4 Finale that led up to Bea's encounter with Joan Ferguson. Fans especially want to know how the screwdriver ended up in the hole that Bea dug up. Likewise, these fans want answers as to why Vera allowed the Top Dog to escape-again.
Meanwhile, another theory that would explain Bea Smith's return in "Wentworth" Season 5 is the seahorse scene. Gamenguide previously reported that there is a special reason why it was aired just before the Season 4 Finale scenes opened. It was meant to show that Bea and Allie are both in Season 5.
To recap, the seahorse scene saw Allie Novak tell Bea Smith that seahorses link their tails so they do not lose each other. This conversation happened after Bea saw an image of a seahorse from the clouds. In is interesting to point out that right before Bea passed out she looked up at the sky.
