No Man's Sky News And Updates: New Massive Update In Development, Might Include New Vehicle

Not to be beaten down by the overwhelming negative reaction, Hello Games has heard everyone's complaints and started to work on their No Man's Sky. After a two-month silence, Hello Games has released a massive update that adds new modes, features and fixes. But this update is just the start of something more. A reddit user who accessed the hidden files of the recent update has found evidence regarding a new vehicle for No Man's Sky.

Reddit User eegandj, has detailed in a pair of threads his discoveries when snooping around the files from the update. One of the files included a folder named "BUGGY" which could mean a four wheel, all terrain vehicle which is perfect for traversing No Man's Sky's many planets.

At first, eegandj found texture for tire tracks which could support the theory. But then he found more textures matching those included in the game. He then discovered an actual but incomplete 3D model also matching the textures he found earlier. The 3D model was then imported in the full game which can be seen in this video. Could this be a new vehicle for No Man's Sky?

As of now the game's only player controllable vehicle is the player's spaceship which is primarily an aerial vehicle. This Buggy will be the first land vehicle players can control. Considering No Man's Sky still has a lot of missing features, this discovery could be a sign of another massive update from Hello Games in which the Buggy is a part of.

If there was a game that ultimately succumbed to its lofty ambitions, No Man's Sky is the perfect poster boy for such an accomplishment. No Man's Sky was supposed to be a game changer for open world games that eventually failed to deliver. Promoted as the first ever open-universe game that featured millions of full sized planets and thousands of animals and wild which players can explore and discover, No Man's Sky has somewhat fulfilled their promises but only to a certain degree.

In addition to unfulfilled promises, the game is just plain boring. Planets and wildlife are starting to look the same after a few hours. Progression is almost non existent and there's not much to do besides exploring the same planets.

The release for No Man's Sky resulted in a backlash from fans who felt they were duped into buying an incomplete game. There was so much vitriol for developer Hello Games that public forums were shut down. Sean Murray, the lead developer for No Man's Sky became the gamer's public enemy number whose words are never to be trusted.

But with the recent update and upcoming plans for No Man's Sky, players can expect more improvements for No Man's Sky. There may be hope for No Man's Sky to fulfill their initial promises.
