Clementine returning in future episodes of Telltale's The Walking Dead

To the thousands who played Telltale's episodic The Walking Dead, you're more then well aware of Clementine's mysterious fate at Season one's conclusion, staring off at the two mysterious silouhettes. Well, it's been confirmed that your questions will be answered, according to TellTale president Kevin Bruner.

Bruner took part in TellTale's panel at Comic Con this weekend, where, as IGN reports, Clementine "will definitely be a part of" the next season. Telltale even has a teaser image showing Clementine sitting next to an unknown child.

As decisions players made during both season one and the 400 Days DLC will affect gameplay in season two, it's logical to assume that whatever (SPOILERS) players had Lee advise Clementine do before he died, to go on her own, avoid cities, or go with Omid and Christa will likely impact the how and when she'll be seen, and in what state. The second season will also explore the ultimate fate of the mustachoied Kenny, who was briefly mentioned in 400 Days.

As for what else we can expect, "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman, also present at the panel, is toying with the idea of having more characters from the comic book make a cameo appearance, a la Hershel Greene and Glen, but first he has to figure out if more cameos will make sense.

If you haven't gotten around to playing the first season, now's your best chance. All episodes of the first season are available for download on all the platforms, and there's also a retail version you can pick up for consoles if your online connection is on the fritz. The game won numerous "Game of the Year" awards from multiple media outlets, including Metacritic, USA Today, and Spike TV. The series is a point and click styled game that follows former professor turned convict Lee Everett, with eight year old Clementine, as the two struggle and survive their way through zombie infested Georgia.

Using inventory items in conjunction with the environment, players guide Everett to survive against the hungry hordes. According to the comic's creator Robert Kirkman, The Walking Dead game is more focused on developing characters and story and less on action that is featured in other zombie-based games, which certainly helped the first season win so many accolades.

Originally planned to release this month, Telltale pushed the season 2 release to this fall. Much like the first season, different episodes will release periodically, and on multiple platforms - iOS, Mac, PC, PlayStation 3, Vita, and Xbox 360.
