To expand on the copious amounts of excitement that already exists for Grand Theft Auto 5, details about in-game character customizations have popped up online, providing a glimpse of what we can expect to see when we all get our grubby mitts on the game. Rockstar was mum on the details, rather, is yet to give us any real details about the customization options, it seems like the details are already up on Reddit.
It goes without saying that each of GTA 5's three protagonists, each with their own abilities and personality, will have their own customizable options, ranging from clothes to tattoos, and other external appearances. The new Reddit post points to just that.
The new images posted on imgur show that players will be able to select a number of outfits for protagonists Michael (seen above), Trevor, and Franklin, alongside a variety of masks and accessories like bandanas, watches, and wristbands. The images in question were all pulled from the various trailers and screenshots Rockstar has shown for the game thus far, and more choices will likely be available upon the game's release.
If that’s not enough, there will also be options for tweaking around with the characters' pets and their collars and leashes via a number of in game pet stores.
On a similar note, retailer Amazon UK has put up a brand new offer that will get fans the next Grand Theft Auto title for free, literally. The retailer has just introduced a new trade-in offer where the site, according to MCV, is “offering increased trade-in prices on a number of titles meaning that gamers could in theory grab a free copy of Rockstar’s release if they trade-in two high-value titles.”
Grand Theft Auto 5, currently slated for a Sept. 17 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, is set to feature an online mode (although the number of supported players is yet to be confirmed), and the in-game character switching expected to be very smooth, providing players with the ability to switch characters any time in the game via a mini map, which also highlights anything the characters are doing, even when the player is not involved.
