The popular sophomore drama "Quantico Season 2" starring Priyanka Chopra as Alex Parish will be shifted from its Sunday 10 pm slot to Mondays, beginning this January. The decision has been taken as a part of ABC's midseason schedule. The protagonist of the show Alex Parish, has already built a huge fan following and always keeps her fans engaged with her high-end action scenes and a powerful depiction of dialogues.
The time slot that is to be taken by the popular sitcom is currently occupied by freshman drama "Conviction". The Hayley Atwell starrer did not score a back-nine order and will end its run after 13 episodes. However, it is still very unclear that as to which show will be telecasted in place of Quantico from January onwards. There have been no comments by ABC representatives, neither any clarifications related to the show's change of time slot.
There is a hard crunch of the Disney owned network for midseason bench consisting of the unscheduled second season of Shonda Rhimes-produced The Catch, the prolific producer's freshman drama Still Star-Crossed, as well as Kevin Williamson's Time After Time and comedies Downward Dog and Imaginary Mary. Meanwhile, Scandal will return along with ABC's all Rhimes-produced TGIT roster on Jan. 19. Talking about the second season of sophomore slump, "Quantico", has faced a backlash when compared to the first season of the sitcom.
The show has nearly drawn a 0.6 in the demo and almost three million total (live) viewers, the FBI drama makes up for it with DVR returns. However, show's protagonist Priyanka Chopra has always remained all peaceful and ready while the show's promotions were on. Not amidst America, the lady has also promoted the show overseas in order to gain more popularity while show's TRP is concerned.
