Bethesda is aware that virtual reality has been gaining ground as a possible new twist for the gaming sector and director Todd Howard reveals plans of applying VR at least for “Fallout 4” soon. But rather than covering only a small part of the game, the plan is to place the whole “Fallout 4” world in VR mode.
Adopting virtual reality into games has been frequenting popular game titles but most have been dealing with limitations. Apparently, the technology carries a lot of work to satisfy the taste of gamers but Howard seems confident in coming up with something made to cover the whole “Fallout 4” world.
Howard assures gamers that “Fallout 4” will get a taste of VR, citing the core experience of actually setting foot in the virtual world that is expected to render a unique experience, Glixel reported. “We have an opportunity to make something really unique. We’d rather do that than make some other tiny experience. I don’t think that’s what people want from us,” said Howard.
While that should be good news for “Fallout 4” gamers, would the same VR technology apply to “Skyrim Special Edition” as well? There was not actual mention of such for now though Howard did admit that the remastered edition needed improvement.
One of the features he clearly singled out for “Skyrim Special Edition” was the interaction with NPCs. Despite the heavy work on display and graphics, the manner of reaction by NPCs on the game is not exactly at that point where they want it to be. Apparently, Howard believes that they can do better.
Once that is tackled, then entertaining thoughts of a possible VR mode for Skyrim Special Edition could be next on the agenda. Right now, this edition of “Elder Scrolls” is technically there but credit Howard for wanting it to be close to perfection, Gaming Bolt reported.
