Nintendo NES Classic News & Update: Specs & Features Unbeaten; A Threat To Switch?

Gamers' bloodlines are their gears of course: PCs, game consoles, among others. But when one hears Nintendo, surely one name resounds into what is now very trendy on store: the NES Classic Console.

Undeniably, this will be the cherry of those gamers who keep on touch to their past gaming life. Of course, who would a die-hard console gamer dare to move on with such a classy edition of console first hit the market way back 1985?

To those who have not grasped this trend, the Nintendo NES Classic Console, which was first released last November 11, is actually a smaller edition of its original version. And accordingly, it became a top pick for yuletide presents.

In an interview of New York Times with Wedbush Securities Analyst Michael Pachter, he stressed why this small yet nostalgic game console is marketable. Pachter said Nintendo's newest offer feeds every true-blooded gamer's nostalgia, as well as it's budget-friendly.

But, will it affect the company's sooner launch of Nintendo Switch next year? A contributor from Forbes shared his insight on this matter.

Having grown up in a Nintendo way of gaming, Dave Thier candidly expressed enthusiasm for the Nintendo Switch. But, what worries him is about how the company will last long in producing perfect gaming products, without the two consoles' popularity and market value affecting one another.

As for him, Nintendo's NES Classic is not that bad. In fact, it is saleable. But, he further adds that considering the modern era of gaming with the Generation X, he thinks the Switch will be of be more demanded, because of its more premium visuals and other things the latest console has yet to offer to gamers.

With all of these, one thing Nintendo has achieved: Catering consumers from the past, and of the present time.
