Jeremy Lin has been out of his team since November 2 but the Brooklyn Nets star still makes it a point that he is useful for his group. He reportedly keeps tracks of the statistics of other players on the team.
What is 'Linology'?'
The Linsanity star who strained his hamstring is said to be keeping himself busy making a "a self-styled version of offensive-efficiency statistics" while on the sidelines of their games. Dubbed "Linology," Lin's notes on the stats of the Nets is something he wants to do and offer for the term while he is recovering from his injury.
"It's beautiful. It's his way of showing he cares. He asked me if he could do it, and I said, 'Yeah, sure'," noted Brooklyn Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson. He added that Lin gives it to him at the end of every game.
Though the numbers of Lin's may not be good because of his absence, many of his teammates appreciates his effort for the group. The Nets star also wants to feel that he can still be of good use even though he is not playing on the court.
Injury details
The Linsanity star injured his hamstring during the victory of the Nets against the Detroit Pistons last Nov. 2. His team went on a seven-game losing streak after his injury and they badly need him on the team again.
Jeremy Lin and the Brooklyn Nets agreed to a three year contract this offseason, but the start of this season hasn't exactly started the way the two sides imagined.
When will he return?
His return is still unsure as Atkinson said that they are not rushing his recovery. The head coach claimed that the number of games he would miss is still "undetermined" meaning that there is still no clear timeline on his comeback. When do you think Jeremy Lin will come back to the playing for the Nets?
