"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is the latest installment in its hugely successful RPG shooter franchise, to be released in 2017. While the game is not a direct sequel to its previous iteration in terms of storyline, players will get to enjoy a host of new characters and features to tinker with.
New Story
The latest game features a new story that begins after humanity has built immense Arks for leaving the Milky Way. The galaxy has then been infested with Reapers, and humans have worked with some Council Races in "Mass Effect: Andromeda." Where else would these survivors go in search for a new home but to the nearest galaxy-the Andromeda.
What is interesting about "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is that it does not alienate neither new or old gamers through the new lore. There are new elements to keep the game fresh, but it still keeps many familiar mechanics to make it more familiar to players.
New and Recurring Races
The game will then embark the journey of the player in a cryo-sleep for 600 years. As the game features a new environment, game developer BioWare has unveiled two new races that natively inhabit the galaxy. "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will see a malevolent race, with another one being the peaceful guardian race. These are then called Kett and Remnant, respectively.
Also, while the Arks were made in collaboration with the Council Races, races such as Turian, Salarian, Asari, and Krogan will recur in "Mass Effect: Andromeda." In addition to these races, Quarian, Batarian, and Drell might also take refuge in the massive ships.
Ryder Family
The new hero of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is called Ryder, and is the presumed commander of the Tempest. There would then be a male and female version of Ryder, and they may be siblings. The dynamics of the game will then return, giving importance to loyalty missions and relationships.
The latest installment would then heavily feature the Ryder family, as the anticipated siblings will appear with their father. BioWare has stated that the siblings could interact with each other. There would also be a new squad member from an Andromeda race, to help players of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" understand the galaxy.
