We're currently knee-deep in "Gotham" season 3, and the midseason finale is airing tomorrow, November 28. Titled "Mad City: Beware the Green-Eyed Monster," the winter finale will find a virus spreading throughout the city. The latest news surrounding the FOX show is that Erin Richard's Barbara may be turning into Harley Quinn before the season finale.
"Gotham" season 3 star Erin Richards spoke to Cinemablend about the possibility of Barbara turning into Harley Quinn before season finale. The actress explained that "there have been conversations" about Barbara Kean transforming into one of Gotham City's most popular villains. After all, we've seen the evolution of Catwoman, Pengiun, Nygma, and the Joker so far.
"Gotham" season 3 star Erin Richards also explained how Barbara is more methodical than Harley Quinn. She explained that the possibility of Barbara turning into Harley Quinn will require an event that would ultimately unhinge the character to become Harley. Don't shut down the possibility just yet, as the actress explains that Barbara has enough craziness in her.
Richards says that Barbara is "still obviously a little crazy, but she now has more of a ruthless nature to her." If this is any indication, it seems that the possibility of Barbara turning into Harley Quinn looms large in "Gotham" season 3. Meanwhile, Deadline reports that James Remar recurs as Frank Gordon on the show.
In "Gotham" season 3, Frank Gordon heads to the city to reconnect with his estranged nephew, Jim Gordon 25 year after Jim's father's deadly accident. He's harboring a secret (was he at fault for the crash?), one that viewers have yet to find out.
In the meantime, make sure to catch the last episode of "Gotham" season 3 before they go on a winter hiatus. The show will return to FOX on Monday, February 29.
