Finally, the highly anticipated Amazon's car show "The Grand Tour" is already airing in the U.S. starting November 18. And with its grand TV premiere, it already breaks records alerting the reigning king of car shows, "Top Gear".
In the press release of Amazon, they announced that the premiere episode of "The Grand Tour" is the most watched even taking the number 1 spot from the record-breaking debut of its series "The Man in the High Castle" with millions of Prime members streaming from United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, and Japan over the opening weekend.
Moreover, "The Grand Tour" is the top TV show on IMDb with an overall rating of 9.6/10 with over 10,000 votes; has a score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes; and is rated with 4.9/5 stars by almost 15,000 Amazon customers.

"The Grand Tour" is not your ordinary car show as it brings its viewers into different locations revealing a new era of gratuitous four-wheeled debauchery. The new show hosts Richard Hammond, James May, and Jeremy Clarkson also add to the show's success with their 20 plus years of camaraderie and fame. They are here for a round of complete hypercar wheelspin, featuring drag racing on bizarre track races, a lot of tent traveling - everything in one show.
According to Variety, Amazon has announced last year that they signed a deal with the three former "Top Gear" hosts: Hammond, May, and Clarkson, after BBC fired the latter for allegedly assaulting one of its producers.
In addition, "The Grand Tour" will be released in almost 200 countries worldwide this coming December which leads to hearsays that the company will also be launching Prime video in a global challenge to Netflix. As of this writing, Amazon has not yet officially announced their plans for expansion internationally aside from its current video footprint, though there are reports that the service has discreetly launched in Australia last week.
