After its original film followed by a sequel, it looks like producers are all set to reboot "Tomb Raider" reboot soon. In a recent interview with producer Graham King, he revealed some of his future projects and they include "The Departed" TV series spin-off and the "Tomb Raider".
While he was able to reveal so much about the details of "The Departed," he was rather limiting on the talks about "Tomb Raider" reboot. The film will star Academy Award winner Alicia Vikander and it tells the story of a young Lara Croft seeking to see whether her father is really dead or alive. Graham also mentioned how the film will have a pang of emotional scenes; something that interests Alicia and might be the reason she wanted to be part of the film.
We have every reason to believe, the "Tomb Raider" reboot is going to happen. First off, Graham King said, there's already the good storyline for the film. Second, the whole crew is apparently all set to start film and director Robert Zemeckishas his eyes on the reboot already.
According to HeyUGuys, Alicia Vikander who stars the "Tomb Raider" reboot has appeared in several films mainly "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." "Ex Machina," "Jason Bourne" and "The Danish Girl." Her career hit the limelight when she won Best Supporting Actress at the 2016 Academy Awards for her role alongside Eddie Redmayne on "The Danish Girl."
Vikander is currently in a relationship with "Assassin's Creed's" Michael Fassbender. If the "Tomb Raider" reboot pushes through, it will be another title in the expected long lists of films reserved for Vikander.
Although the film has no specific release date yet, the producer targets 2018 as the premiere date of the film. For more news and update about the "Tomb Raider" reboot, follow and read us here on GameNGuide.
