"Jurassic World" paved the way for fans to revisit the island where scientists brought to life prehistoric animals. With a sequel on the way, latest spoiler news hint of a potential off-island adventure for beloved characters of the film.
Avid movie fans will soon witness Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) facing some of the most vicious dinosaurs in the upcoming film "Jurassic World 2." Similar to the original "Jurassic Park" film, the first installment of the film featured Owen, Claire and other characters attempt to stay alive despite the slew of man-eating creatures adamant to turn them into a tasty meal.
The horrors featured in the dinosaur theme park is expected to continue in "Jurassic World 2." However, it is still unclear if the sequel will have beloved characters returning to the island, similar to previous installments of the "Jurassic Park" franchise.
Recently, showrunner J.A. Bayona shared in an interview with Cinema Blend that the upcoming sequel will contain elements from "Jurassic Park 2" mixed with plots from "Jurassic World." Movie fans may recall that the second part of the original film had beloved characters revisiting the island. Given the filmmaker's statement, it appears that the several scenes in the upcoming movie may include shots from the pre-historic theme park.
Fans can also look forward to seeing "new stuff" in "Jurassic World 2," according to Bayona. He added, "I think the story is looking for a connection between Jurassic World and Jurassic Park -- more than what Jurassic World did."
The director also teased of the interesting ways that they plan to tackle the sequel. In the same interview, he warned fans that the "Jurassic World 2" storyline will end up in a place that nobody will expect.
Given the filmmaker's statements, movie speculations pointed to the introduction of a new location or city-setting where newly created dinosaurs may potentially escape to. Other speculations also hinted of the appearance of some of the film's original characters. However, at this point, it is still unclear if the speculated movie details will indeed appear in the movie.
