Black Friday is no longer an exclusive American retail experience. Many western countries outside the U.S. now also hold their versions of the pre-Christmas sale where consumers could buy a wide variety of products, from electronic goods such as game consoles, to clothes and home appliances.
A discount is something every shopper wants, but deep price cuts during Black Friday are felt most especially when buying gadgets because these things cost a lot. Shopping experts estimate that in Britain, a total of £1.3 billion would be spent on buying heavily discounted items within the next 24 hours.
Where to Find PS4 Consoles
High on the list of popular Black Friday items are Playstation consoles. The Mirror reports that large U.K. retailers such as Amazon, Argos and GAME have chopped prices off the Sony game console. At Amazon, a 500GB PS4 console plus “Uncharted” and “FIFA 17” sell for £199.99.
For the same price point, from the original £309.88, is a bundle of 500GB PS4 Slim with “Call of Duty” plus optional Extra DualShock controller and/or 12 months Playstation Plus are being sold also as part of Amazon’s Black Friday deal. At Currys PCWorld, just add £10 to buy the tech shop’s Black Friday bundle made up of a PS4 Slim, “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End,” “FIFA 17” and Venom Twin Docking Station. Back at Amazon, the PS4 1TB console comes with a “Call of Duty” and “FIFA 17” for £249.99.
Playstation VR in the U.S.
Gamers in the U.S. who want to have a Playstation VR, where they can play “Star Wars Battlefront” and “Batman Arkham VR,” could purchase a set for $399 in various stores as part of their Black Friday sale. The Playstation VR connects to PS4 using USB and HDMI cables. The wearer could explore the game environment with a 100 degree field of view. But the price excludes the Playstation Camera, sold separately, for tracking the headset’s movement and connecting to the console, Technologyreview reports.
