"Avatar 2" is probably one of the most anticipated movie sequels to arrive. Several years have passed since the top grossing blockbuster hit "Avatar" was launched but there hasn't been any official announcements regarding its sequel. Recent reports claim that "Avatar 2" official release date has been hinted by 20th Century Fox.
According to a report from Deadline, the 20th Century Fox announced that there will be some upcoming movies aside from "Avatar 2," which is why there are a lot of changes in the premiere dates. At the top of the list will be an untitled film from James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment on December 21, 2018. This might also be the date that "Avatar 2" will be launched.
In addition, since there are no enough superhero films that are being made at the moment, 20th Century Fox also announced two new mysterious Marvel films based on the X-Men universe. One of the untitled films has been scheduled for November 2, 2018, while the other one will reach cinemas in February 14, 2019. Before the official announcement, fans were already aware of another untitled Marvel film that is set for January 12, 2018 and many believe that it will be "Deadpool 2" film's official release date. Fans are getting very excited as "Avatar 2" official launch goes near.
According to GameSpot, James Cameron is also planning to have an "Avatar 2" 3D movie without the use of 3D glasses. The director will be pushing this concept; he thinks that it would be better to watch a Sci-Fi movie high dynamic range and high frame rates. Fans can expect a glass-free 3D movie for "Avatar 2."
For now, there are still no official announcements about the main cast of "Avatar 2." Zoe Zaldana, who plays Neytiri, and Sam Worthington, who plays Jake Sully, is expected to reprise their lead roles. But, there are also rumors that Stephen Lang or Colonel Miles Quatrich and Sigourney Weaver or Doctor Grace will be part of the main cast again; the two characters might be resurrected in "Avatar 2" movie.
