Black Widow is a special agent of the SHIELD together with her best friend Hawkeye. She's been a supporting actress in Marvel's solo movies like "Iron Man" and "Captain America."
According to the Independent, Marvel director Joss Whedon revealed to the public that he would direct the "Black Widow" spinoff movie if he is asked by the studio. Scarlett Johansson gave a minor update that if the fans wanted the spinoff enough, then it would probably become a reality. It means that it is not hard to push the possibility of a Black Widow movie.
Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for the especial effects and action combat with powerful genius in a robot suit, Asgardian God, Lab Monster and powerful villains. Black Widow is a human being with special skills. If ever this movie happens, expect that this might be quite different to the usual Marvel movies full of special effects and magic.
Perhaps, Scarlett Johansson will get to explore her character eve more if Marvel Studios green-lights the Black Widow spinoff movie. Marvel Studios have done lots of stand alone films for their superheroes such as the "Black Panther," "Doctor Strange," "Iron Man," "Captain America," "Thor" and "Ant-Man."
Black Widow has got a really rich origin story that can be used for the spinoff movie as Scarlett Johansson had said. She hinted that the story can be brought back to Russia or could explore the Widow program. She further explained that the movie can focus on the individuality of Black Widow and how her past affected her present persona.
As of late, Scarlett Johansson has appeared in five Marvel movies as Black Widow, also known as Natasha Romanova. Whether the spinoff movie will be a reality or not, there are still two more upcoming "Avengers" films that will need the Black Widow in tow.
