The developer of "GBA4iOS" Riley Testut begins teasing the launch of a new emulator, called "Delta." It will come out in beta form in December, presumably for iOS devices.
After bringing back the classic Nintendo NES in a form of Mini NES, another Nintendo creation that will come back is the Game Boy games. However, the games can be played via iOS. Hazy images of controllers for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Nintendo 64 alongside Game Boy Advance and Game Boy ColoOn are included on Delta's teaser site,
Testut tweeted on his Twitter account about his new project, Delta accompanied by a link for deltaemulator.com. "Goodbye GBA4iOS. Hello, Delta. https://deltaemulator.com," Testus wrote.
The built-in web browser created by Testut allows users to install and play original Game Boy, Game Boy Advance and even Game Boy Color ROMs on their iPhone or iPad. The platform where Game Boy games will be available has yet to be confirmed. However, Testut's Delta teaser suggests that the new emulator will be for iOS devices.
The developer did not mention how the emulator will handle downloads yet. According to Mac Rumors, it will be likely similar to Testut's previous software emulator.
The developer has previously answered a few user questions in the original Twitter thread. He said that tvOS support is something he wants but "there are some technical issues right now standing in the way." With that, the launch is expected to focus on iOS.
