Though Stiles may not appear on "Teen Wolf" Season 6, Mrs. Stilinski is confirmed to be alive and back for the series. Considering Stiles' existence, it absolutely had nothing to do with his mother's demise, it seems viewers will have to search for answers anywhere.
Aso, Corey has the ability to see the villains, searching for their next victim at school. Looking back, Sherriff's wife died during "Teen Wolf" Season 3 when Stiles was still very young, but her death was a mystery. During the time she was in the hospital and suffered from frontotemporal dementia, Stiles was with her. Her illness was linked to the shrinkage of the brain which leads to dementia and death. TV Line confirmed that she was the same mother who died 10 years ago.
Executive Producer Jeff Davis says in an interview that they wanted to see Sherriff Stilinski's life without his son Stiles in "Teen Wolf" Season 6, but at the same time, have someone return. Maybe this is really just a proof that Stiles will be leaving the series.
