There is little chance for "Mortal Kombat X" Pack 3 to see the light of the day, at least that's what reports and "Mortal Kombat" fans believe. The main reason for this would be "Injustice 2." As funny as it may sound, many believe "Injustice" is behind the reason why "Mortal Kombat X" Pack 3 will never make it to the racks.
Game developer NetherRealm Studios has not said anything on the issue that is making fans frustrated. Reports suggest that the developer is currently focusing on "Injustice 2" and hence does not have the time to pay attention to the "Mortal Kombat X" Pack 3.
However, game studios do work on two titles at the same time. Hence, this explanation does not seem plausible. Even if the developer delays the "Mortal Kombat X" Pack 3 but releases it nevertheless, that would still be appreciated by fans. "Injustice 2" is releasing next year though no specific release date has been announced yet.
Thus, the "Mortal Kombat X" DLC remains elusive and will remain so though there have been talks, as suggested by iTech Post, of releasing the DLC sometime in 2018. Frankly, these are just rumors and should be taken lightly. It's still a bummer for "Mortal Kombat" fans but as the saying goes, better late than never.
Earlier, Ed Boon even took up the responsibility of teasing fans about the existence of the "Mortal Kombat X" Pack 3. Cut to today, and there is no sign of "Kombat." Its nonexistence is worrying fans and many have lost hope, thinking the developer has lost hope too.
Interestingly, when the hype was hot, fans expected a lot, naturally. The "Mortal Kombat X" DLC was expected to include new characters such as Baraka, Fujin and Rain among others.
The wait is frustrating and excruciating. Stay tuned on GameNGuide for more updates on "Mortal Kombat X" Pack 3.
