Naughty Dog is about to launch a new Survival mode for "Uncharted 4." Recent reports claim that that this will be released in mid-December and it is completely free. The players, who can attend the PlayStation Experience on December 3 and 4 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, can have the chance to experience it first. The developer also announced that the Survival mode can be played by solo or two players.
According to a report from GameSpot, in the new "Uncharted 4" Survival mode, players can fight off waves of increasingly difficult AI enemies as they build up defenses, rank up their character and coordinate with fellow teammates. Some enemy waves will have objectives that players need to complete, such as collecting treasures or defeating specific enemies.
The "Uncharted 4" Survival Mode will be having 10 new maps and a total of 50 enemy waves. The enemies will be armored brutes, Shoreline mercs, snipers and hunters. Every enemy will become more difficult to defeat as the waves level go higher. Players will be facing against legendary pirates from the "Uncharted 4" campaign after every 10 waves. One of the legendary pirates is Henry Avery.
According to a report from IGN, the new "Uncharted 4" co-op mode uses the mid-match economy in a smart way by letting players purchase mysticals, weapons and team revives from different arsenals that has been scattered on the maps. Aside from the currency players can also spend mid-match, there is also a meta-leveling system where players constantly ranking up and unlocking new things every time they play.
Players can also earn cash through the Survival mode in "Uncharted 4." The cash can be spent on buying high level weapons and items. The Survival mode also has its own progression system that is separate from standard multiplayer.
Players will earn weapon upgrades and new items, while some boosters will be exclusive through the Survival mode. The "Uncharted 4" Survival mode will also have multiple difficulty modes including Hard and Crushing.
