Netflix continues to provide a unique line of TV series to its viewers as another story is about to unfold. Netflix is ready to introduce "3%" TV series starting on November 25.
Netflix has been producing original series to its line up for TV, but the company noticed another futuristic drama that has a chance of becoming a hit. Last August, Netflix ordered a Brazilian drama series "3%" that was first launched as a web series on YouTube.
"3%" is a 2011 Brazilian dystopian-thriller drama series that debuted as a web series. The series was created by Pedro Aguilera and was uploaded to debut on YouTube. Following the Netflix strategy, Netflix "3%" TV series will be the first Brazilian original series and the first original production that was shot in Brazil. It is one of the Netflix series that will have a different language other than English.
According to IMDb, the story of Netflix "3%" TV series is set in a futuristic world which is divided between progress and devastation. The people in this futuristic world are given a second chance through some series of test and challenges to make it to, what they called, the better side. However, the selection process is not easy as they go to physical, mental and emotional stress on accomplishing the tasks that only "3%" of them can make it.
The cast of Netflix "3%" TV series include Brazilian actor João Miguel who will play as Ezequiel, head of the selection process. Brazilian actress Bianca Comparato also joins the series. She will have a significant role to play as Michele. Another interesting character is the disabled Fernando, who uses a wheelchair; he will be played by Michel Gomes.
According to Slash Film, Netflix's "3%" TV series will be produced by César Charlone, cinematographer of "City of God." It will be written by the original creator of the web series Pedro Aguilera. The episodes will have different directors, namely Jotagá Crema, Daina Giannecchini, Dani Libardi, and César Charlone.
Meanwhile, Netflix strategy for its "3%" TV series with Portuguese-language hinders the possibility of gaining viewers. It's most likely that the Netflix target audience is Portuguese-speaking viewers. It is interesting to learn about how this strategy will play well on the ratings.
