"Pokemon Go" developers release a list of 145 Pokemon creatures on the game and Ditto was not included. Since then, "Pokemon Go" trainers have been trying to figure out where to catch it,
So how do you catch a Ditto? Forbes said that unlike any other Pokemons, Ditto doesn't show up in its own pink blob form. A Ditto is a shapeshifting Pokemon, so you may catch a Ditto by capturing any other Pokemon it has disguised into.
According to BGR, "Pokemon Go" trainers who found Ditto said that the creature have disguised itself into some of the most common Pokemon creatures. Examples of Ditto's disguises are Zubat, Rattatas, Pidgeys, Spearows, Metapod, Venonat, Paras and Magikarps.
Some "Pokemon Go" trainers who have caught the above-mentioned Pokemons realized that they have found a Ditto once they caught a Pokemon. It shows up too when "Pokemon Go" trainers use lures or incense.
Some "Pokemon Go" trainers may have unknowingly caught a Ditto. If the "Pokemon Go" trainer just puts down his mobile phone after the Pokeball clicks for a capture, that Pokemon might have transformed into a Ditto.
There's a story of a "Pokemon Go" trainer who caught a Ditto without realizing it. Not only until he checked his recent catches did he found out he caught a Ditto.
Next time, "Pokemon Go" trainers should wait for a short cut scene after the catch. The cut scene shows Ditto revealing itself.
It has also been confirmed that a "Pokemon Go" trainer can catch multiple Dittos. "Pokemon Go" trainers are still trying to figure out how to stumble upon Ditto in the wild.
Once a "Pokemon Go" trainer has a Ditto, he can transform in gym battles. It automatically mimics the look and moves of the opponent Pokemon. "Pokemon Go" trainers can increase Dittos CP by walking 3km and acquire a candy.
