Gamers were able to scrub sound files from shooter game "Overwatch" at the whole community goes wild over possible Christmas event that developer Blizzard is cooking behind everybody's back. If such files are indication, then it is going to be a merry holiday season for fans indeed.
Reddit user Venxa is the culprit behind this whole guessing and peeking affair after she posted a total of 196 sound effects, including a Christmas jingle. There are "Overwatch" hero interactions as well so gamers believed that these are going to be routing toward a holiday event. Logically, Christmas is the nearest cause for celebration so "Overwatch" could be eyeing towards December.
Now let us proceed to a more tangible changes that might come for "Overwatch" next month. IGN reported that Venxa files has a reference to Athena being announced as "entering the arena." This could mean that there will be changes in Arena mode. There are sounds that is audible as "Gladiator" plus other bits that could theoretically mean someone loading background music.
Ok, gamers shouldn't be surprised if there will be a Christmas event for "Overwatch" anyway. This shooter is no stranger for seasonal DLCs and in fact one of the most prolific when it comes to hosting special events. "Overwatch" have recently held Halloween event where new character Sombra was unveiled. From occasions to marketing and promo, gamers can say that "Overwatch" is brilliant.
So, following the Halloween and even earlier Summer event, a Christmas-themed rendition is going to be the third this year. What could elate the gaming community this time around is an array of goodies like special event-only items and loot similar to the former.
