‘Nintendo Switch’ Release Date, News & Update: The Staggering Amount You Need to Shed In Order To Reserve One

Nintendo's latest innovation; the Nintendo Switch, is getting enough attention that one retailer is offering the price of £198.50 to reserve the console. According to the latest reports, UK Retailer GameSeek is offering the Switch for the price and take note, it's a lock in price. Meaning, regardless of the console's final price when it launches, you only have to pay £198.50.

It seem logical, given the fact that the Nintendo Switch upon launching could have a higher price than £198.50. At least that notion is an assurance that you won't have to shed more money when the console launches. Meanwhile, there is also the downside on the Nintendo Switch's lock in price. First off, there's the instant £198.50 that you need to let go now. That's almost £200 less on your Christmas money. Second is the fact that, the possibility of getting the Nintendo Switch's standard or entry level version for the same amount is very high. But what if Nintendo will also release a premium version? That would seem a losing deal against the basic version that your money's worth.

Meanwhile, Gamestop CEO Paul Raines has something to say about the Nintendo Switch. In a recent discussion about the Switch, he said it's "A movement-related game is more fun for kids, you know, taking those accessories off - [the detachable Joy-Con pads] - you can really do a lot of interesting things with that in gameplay."

The Nintendo Switch, former codename Nintendo NX is scheduled for release on March 2017. Unfortunately, no price has been set for the console and the company has yet to release their official announcement about its market price.
