Actor-host James Corden announced on his show "The Late Late Show" Tuesday night that he will be the new host of upcoming 59th Grammy Awards 2017.
James Corden has replaced the five-year run of hip-hop artist and "NCIS: Los Angeles" star LL Cool J as Grammy's host. The comedian actor-host said that he was truly honored to become the person in the house of the biggest and most prestigious award show in music. Even the Recording Academy president and CEO Neil Portnow is also excited to welcome James Corden's passion and enthusiasm for music, both as an entertainer and a fan of the mentioned show. Being a commanding and dynamic showman makes him a perfect fit to host the Grammy Awards.
Aside from his next big host gig, James Corden had already plenty of experience at awards shows. He presented at the Brit Awards (UK's version of Grammy Awards) five times. In 2009, he was with Mathew Horne and Kylie Minogue and from 2009-2014, James Corden handled the show alone very well. In addition with that, James Corden has been in musical theater and performing on stage when he was only 18 years old. Fans got to see his amazing voice in the 2014 musical film "Into the Woods".
James Corden is a broadway, television and film star famouse for his 'Carpool Karaoke' segment singing with guest celebrities and along with game Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts. The show becomes phenomenal as his skits were always clever, creative and of course, hilarious. Also, he takes over host Craig Ferguson on its "The Late Late Show" last March 2015, which is another big opportunity to advance his hosting career.
