AMC has not disclosed any statement yet as to when exactly "Fear the Walking Dead" will return for its season 3. Nevertheless, some AMC's post-apocalyptic series' fans already predict that the Season 3 will hit the screen sometime in April 2017, similar to previous releases.
To recap what happened to the season that will connect to the events in "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3, Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie) was actually killed by two Americans. Season 2 showed that they met a car crash, leaving the injured Chris a liability to the group. When Travis (Cliff Curtis) found out about what the two Americans did to his son, he decided to take vengeance and shoot them in return. Travis however accidentally killed Oscar (Andres Londono) in the process.
Oscar's brother then endeavored to avenge the death forcing Travis to flee alongside Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Madison (Kim Dickens). Strand (Colman Domingo), however, did not go with them. They ultimately ended up at the Colonia and spotted a possible place for refuge, the border between Mexico and the U.S. Their hopes of reaching a refuge were quickly diminished when border patrol started shooting at them. With the Colonia destroyed and the hotel a lost cause, what's left for Clark and Manawa family is to head north. What could be their fate in "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3?
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, "Fear The Walking Dead" executive producer Dave Erickson shared that after being the moral compass of the group, Travis will become fully apocalyptic in "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3. He will experience a transition into somebody who is more strong-minded to survive the zombie apocalypse, even if it means becoming more vicious.
Erickson hinted on what the viewers can expect from Travis in "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3. "He's going to be somebody much quicker to pull the trigger. He's going to be somebody who is far more aggressive," Erickson, in an exclusive interview in October 2016, said.
As of this writing, there are no official statements from AMC yet. Nonetheless, fans are already excited about "Fear The Walking Dead" Season 3.
