Hoth Hardware has issued an article on the matter. They explain that to get the chance of receiving a free copy of “Gears of War” 4, one has to own an Nvidia graphics card and download the GeForce Experience version 3.0 or later.
Upon connecting to Nvidia’s network, you are automatically included in the giveaway prize pool. Nvidia claim that they have chosen the game “Gears of War” 4, since it is a marvel of graphics technology and a landmark of how DirectX 12 should be utilized. Also, the game has so many graphics options towards Nvidia cards, that from the company they have released a manual on perfectly setting up the game towards your preferences.
There is no free lunch, right? That is true about video games too. PC World shares the price one pays when entering the prize pool. First, you do not get the game directly, but participate in a lottery, which will give free copies to a few lucky ones.
Another catch going with the promotion is the need to actually own an Nvidia product to be able to run the GeForce experience. Last on the list comes the fact, that to run GeForce experience 3.0 and later, the user should log in with Google, Facebook account, or make an Nvidia user registration, which gives the company direct access to your personal information.
