Bandai Namco News & Updates: Game Publisher Files Five New Trademarks for Europe; New Pac-Man Games Coming

Bandai Namco officially registered five new trademarks for Europe on the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) website. Bandai Namco did not yet make an official announcement about the recent trademarks, but fans expect more games to arrive soon.

SegmentNext reported that Bandai Namco filed new trademarks for "Pac-Man Cash Rush," "Pac-Man and Leprechaun," "FORTUNE Gears," "The Precious 12" and "Skies Unknown." The new trademark for Pac-Man hinted that more games from the series will follow.

Since early 2016, Bandai Namco has been renewing a number of popular titles and fighting games, showing that the company is still actively improving their games to appeal to both old and new players. Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. is a video game publisher based in Japan.

The company was borne from the merger between Bandai Co. Ltd. and Namco Ltd. in September 2005. Aside from arcade, home and mobile games, Bandai Namco also publishes music and other entertainment products based on their own IPs.

In 2006, the video games division of Bandai and Namco were renamed Namco Bandai Games. Through the years, Bandai Namco has established itself as one of the top game publishers in the world, producing titles like "Dragon Ball," "Dark Souls, "Naruto Ultimate Ninja," "Tekken," "Digimon" and "Dark Souls," among others.

"Pac-Man" was developed by Namco and launched in Japan in 1980. The game subsequently became one of the most famous games of all time. Through the years, new versions and adaptations of "Pac-Man" were also made. Bandai Namco seems to have more upcoming projects for "Pac-Man," as evidenced by the new trademarks.

Saiyan Island reported that in 2015, Bandai Namco also filed trademarks for various Naruto titles, such as "Ultimate Ninja Wars," "Ultimate Ninja Blazing" and "Ultimate Ninja Braves." Bandai Namco is expected to continue producing more Naruto titles in the coming months. The game publisher may also be working with other popular games like "Dragon Ball" and "Tekken" with more details coming out soon.

The launch dates of the five newly trademarked titles have yet to be announced by Bandai Namco. More updates and details on Bandai Namco and their future projects are expected soon.
